Pingshan County (平山县 Píngshān Xiàn) is a county in the Shijiazhuang prefecture of Hebei in China.

Pingshan is a distant outlying county, in the northwest corner of the prefecture administered by Shijizhuang. The county is attracting regional tourist inflows with the development of the resort of Hongya Valley, centered on the star attraction of the world's longest glass bridge.

  • Xibaipo Memorial Museum. Museum commemorating the role of the town of Xibaipo as a communist base during the critical years of 1947-49 before the complete takeover of the country by the communists

Hongya Valley[edit]

World's longest glass bridge
  • Glass bridge. The world's longest bridge is 488 meters in span and quite an impressive engineering marvel. It opened at the end of 2017 and overtook the 440 meter glass bridge at Zhangjiajie in Hunan, however the view is nowhere near as marvelous.
  • Ice waterfalls. During winter, there is a small area of ice waterfalls. Although not as spectacular at the Longju Icefall near Baoding.

  • White Deer. Hot springs. Beautiful and huge outdoor and indoor pools but lousy steam rooms. It's around ¥200 for the day. Bring your sunscreen.
