Příbram is a city of 33,000 people (2023) in Central Bohemia mostly on the right bank of the Litavka River. It is well known for its mining museum. The Svatá Hora pilgrimage site above the town is the oldest and most important Marian pilgrimage site in Bohemia.

[edit]Příbram is about 46 km (29 mi) southwest of Prague.
The national road No. 18 (from Rožmitál pod Třemšínem to Votice) runs through the town. The D4 motorway runs east of the town and bypasses the Bytíz exclave.
Intratown transport is run by Arriva Střední Čechy. company. The bus terminal is next to the railway station, the busiest hub for town buses is, however, in the Jiráskovy sady near the Pražská street.
Příbram is on the railway lin from Prague to Písek, and on the railway line of regional importance from Beroun to Blatná.

[edit]- 1 Mining Museum Příbram (Hornické muzeum Příbram), náměstí Hynka Kličky 293. A large open-air museum of mining with historical buildings and expositions of mining history and mineralogy. It is in Příbram's Březové Hory quarter, a former important mining centre.
