Rust is a city at the Neusiedl Lake in Burgenland, Austria. It is a part of the cultural landscape nominated on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The town is known for the storks nesting over its chimneys and for its beautiful historic centre.

By bus from Eisenstadt.

On foot.


The historic centre is small and mainly comprises of the main city square. The City Museum and the Romanesque Fishers' Church are also located at this square.


Watch the migratory birds. Swim or sail at the Neusiedl Lake. The town has its own beach.
