Piazza Ducale, Sabbioneta

Sabbioneta is a small town in Mantova (province). Despite being small, Sabbioneta shares the same position at of the UNESCO World Heritage List with Mantua (Mantua and Sabbioneta).

A town rich with Renaissance architecture. It was founded in the late 16th century and built according on the principles of the humanistic ideal city of that time.

Take bus #17 (~ 1h) from Mantua's 2 bus station at viale Risorgimento 45, otherwise from Casalmaggiore, the nearest train station, there is an occasional bus #2812 3 stop V.Matteotti

Tourism Office sells all tickets to the monuments of the town: combined tickets to Palazzo Giardino/Galleria, Teatro all’Antica, Palazzo Ducale, Sinagoga cost €12, there is also a separate ticket to Chiesa della Beata Vergine Incoronata, Mausoleo di Vespasiano Gonzaga (€2)
