Santo Antônio do Pinhal is a town in the Vale do Paraíba region, in São Paulo state. It is basically a much smaller and less famous version of the nearby Campos do Jordão, sharing similar climate and landscape. Santo Antônio do Pinhal is a major destination for ecotourism and radical sports, but it is also an excellent place for relaxing strolls and shopping for rural products.

  • 1 Pico Agudo, Estrada de Acesso do Bairro Sertãozinho. One of the premier paragliding destinations of the state, with 1,634 meters height and with its top accessible by car. Check the website for up-to-date weather forecast. Offers an exhuberant 360 degrees view of the Serra da Mantiqueira.
  • Cachoeira do Lajeado, Estrada do Lajeado (7 km from the town center). A 18-meter high waterfall. Swimming is possible due to the formation of a natural swimming pool. R$ 2.
  • Jardim dos Pinhais Ecco Parque, Rodovia SP46, 2600, +55 12 3666-2021. Private park composed of 8 thematic decorated gardens, with their beauty augmented by the borrowed scenery from the Serra de Mantiqueira.
