By bus

From Petrópolis, it can be easily made as a day trip. To find a suitable bus connection simply use the app Moovit.

You can go for example from near the Rodoviária in Petrópolis Centro with the bus line 700. Check the exact position of the bus stop in Moovit or ask somebody there.

The line 700 goes every 7 minutes to Terminal Corrêas. Change there to the bus line 611. You can go to the final station of the bus and walk from there to the accommodations or the entry of the National Park. The whole trip costs R$8,80 one-way. The last bus connection back to Petropolis is around midnight. The exact time can be checked with Moovit.

Fees and permits

The website of the national park states the detailed fees. As of December 2012 the entrance fee for foreigners is R$22 with an additional fee for using the trails (R$33 for the first day, R$16.50 for additional weekend days or R$3.30 on weekdays.
