[edit]Socorro's city center contains many eclectic constructions, a legacy of Italian immigration from XIX-early XX centuries. Unfortunately, it is not as preserved or as picturesque as Amparo or Monte Alegre do Sul, with the historical constructions often mixed with uninteresting modern buildings.
