Shoreham-by-Sea is in West Sussex, England. It is the seat of Adur District which includes the parishes of of Coombes, Lancing and Sompting.

Get in[edit]

Shoreham-by-Sea has a station just north of the town centre. It is served by Southern services from London, Brighton and Portsmouth.

  • Marlipns MuseumHigh Street. a 12th to early 13th century Grade II listed building
  • Shoreham Airport. opened in 1910, is the oldest operating commercial airport in the UK, & is notable for its art deco terminal building
Rhenish tower, Sompting
  • Sompting ChurchSompting. The feature to be seen is the Saxon tower of the church -a rare if not unique example of the Rhenish style in the UK. It's thought to be the closest Saxon architects could get to a spire.
