Sullivan's Island is a town most known for its beach, which is connected to the beach of Isle of Palms. It is normally has much less people than Isle of Palms' beach, which is normally very busy. On Summer mornings, there are often many dogs running around off a leash. The beach is very wide, and is great for biking and walking. It has no lifeguards and the water is a little more dangerous than Isle of Palms' beach's water, so it isn't the best for swimming. It is hardly commercialized at all.
From I-526 towards Mount Pleasant, continue until the interstate turns into Chuck Dawley Blvd. Make a left at Ben Sawyer Blvd and continue to Sullivan's Island
Along the beach of Sullivan's Island, there is free parking on the side of the road, making it a great alternative to the paid parking at Isle of Palms.
