Swansea is a coastal town in Eastern Tasmania.


Swansea—originally named Waterloo Point—was established in the 1820s.

Swansea is a 2-hour drive from Hobart at 139km via the A3 Tasman Highway, a 1.5 hr drive from Launceston at 137km via Rte 1, B34 and A3, and a 2 hour drive from Port Arthur at 140 km via the A9 and A3.
