The medallion

[edit]

The medallion at Ai-khanoum depicts the eclipse that marked the flood that destroyed a civilization that had been colonizing the world for thousands of years and would vanish in a day.Interprated as the star and crescent It means deliverance. Akkadian astronomy measured the planetary orbits using the same formula later advanced by Kepler. The star is actually a planet that became visible as the sky darkened during the eclipse and depicts the “ The light”. To rend a portion of light as the world slipped into darkness! Clearkos came from Egypt to find mystical truth. Egyptian mythology -the Sun God Ra is in conflict with the darkness(chaos). The Pharaoh was the guardian of order. Thus the star represents the restoration. The entomology of eclipse is to be foresaken or abandoned. The power of an eclipse on the ancients is profound. Cyrus the Great recalled his assault on the Lydians and the Athenian Navy abandoned its troops in Sicily due to an eclipse. Sybil, riding in the chariot,is connected with the priests at Sais where Solon first heard the story of a civilization which existed 9,000 years prior. Solon to Plato to Aristotle to Clearkos??? Likely!!! Also the “Antikithera” device is considered by some to be the first analog computer! A device so complicated it has scholars suggesting Archimedes invented it! It’s purpose is believed to predict eclipses. Ophalos1 (talk) 14:42, 13 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
