I'm currently editing this page. I have lived and worked here in Banteay Chhmar for the past 2 years. Photos to come later.

I'm fairly new to writing/editing Wiki articles.

How do I remove the City name is in Region name section?

I have an introductory section above the Understand section, but I don't know how to edit it. I created it by adding space above the Understand section and typing the content. But, the content is not there when I try to edit the Understand section. This makes sense, but doesn't help me understand how to edit it.

Please advise and advise to any other wiki markups I should use.

The content is basically complete - just need to fix the Intro section and add photos.

Oh, what's the difference between Discussion page and Talk Page? Is this the right place to ask these questions?

Yes, this is the talk page. Welcome, and thank you for adding content! So far, this article looks very good.

I edited the "City name is in Region name" portion for you, but the way to edit the section at the top of the page is to click the "Edit" button, which you should see next to "Read" and "View history" ("Go" and "Search" are further right) toward the top of your browser. You're welcome, Andrew. I'm sorry for deleting most of your links, because I'm sure you worked hard on them, but it's a matter of style. Here's what I posted in my editing summary: "Sisophon should be wiki-linked the way I did it. We don't provide references in Wikivoyage, only primary links (such as to the site of the temple). Wikipedia links are only to the subject of the article." The thing is, this is not an encyclopedia like Wikipedia; instead, it's a travel guide. Travel guides usually don't have references, but may refer people to other pages within the guide and will provide primary information about a place or attraction. So, by analogy, on Wikivoyage, we provide links to official (governmental) tourism agencies, the website of an attraction (but not of some competing guide or booking service), and other related pages within this guide (such as the article about Sisophon or the travel topic article on the UNESCO World Heritage List). Don't worry too much about running afoul of stuff that's in the Project:Manual of Style; look at it at your leisure. It's much more important to get the content up. But I just wanted to let you know why I deleted some perfectly good references in this article - good indeed, but just not part of Wikivoyage's style.

I'm having a problem uploading photos to wikishared. I think my file is correct, but I keep getting an error message (Avalokitesvara_Banteay_Chhmar.jpg)

File extension does not match MIME type

Any ideas?

Also, all the photos will be my own work. I'd like to keep my name/rights attached to the images. Should I just use the default wikivoyage licensing?

And, I thought I saw a gallery of images on another page which might be a nice way to put my images into the article. I think it's done ==Gallery==. Are there any other special markups/rules for using this? Sorry for the questions. Thanks Andrew --(WT-en) Andrewjmarino 22:03, 4 July 2012 (EDT)

I think that error is usually caused when you forget to include the file extension in the filename blank. Also, please incorporate your images into the article in the normal, right-aligned way. You are welcome to discuss using a gallery on the talk page there, but galleries usually indicate an overabundance of images, which is generally discouraged.(WT-en) texugo 22:11, 4 July 2012 (EDT)
