Hey people. THere are 4 districts in Baotou. Kundulun (Which is called KunQu by Baotou people) Qingshan, Jiuyuan, and Donghe.
KunQu is NOT "communistic industrial (very depressing)". It is where nearly all the bars, discos, ktv's etc are. Qingshan has only one street which has a few, notably a new Kakadu. New, because Kunqu has had one for years. No one goes to Qingshan for anything. To repeat, Kunlundun is NOT the "industrial" area of Baotou. And for the record there is nothing "Mongolian" about Donghe. And it is not colourful.
The person who wrote that has no idea what they are talking about.
