Twin Oaks resort. This is not a resort. My wife our daughter 2years old and my parents visiting from Canada went here on July 4th, 2011. We rented a cabin for 3 nights. Upon arrival there was garbage and plastic smoldering in the fire pit in front of the cabin, along with a dead bird that had been ripped to pieces and a half a garbage bag of litter (cigar and cigarette butts, beer cans, beer caps etc.). We went inside and the cabin was filthy, The fridge was disgusting as was the oven. Very poorly stocked cabin, gives bare minimum a new meaning. The carpets were dirty there was layers of dust and dead bugs everywhere. Half the window cranks (to open and close window) were broken. After seeing the state of the cabin my wife checked the linens on the beds. Both bedspreads, sheets, and comforters had nasty stains dirt and grass on them. The bed we picked had some fresh "LOVE STAINS" not to be too graphic. There is no access to the lake from some of these cabins what little access there was had very high boat traffic not ... When we brought our problems to the attention of the staff we were told that the manager/owner was not around and they had no way to get a hold of him. The maintenance man came down to see if he could "accommodate us in anyway" which was only for show he offered us nothing more than a sorry you feel this way. The next day we went to find the manager/owner who had still not contacted us even though we had left our number at the front desk. After being laughed at for our complaints we packed up and left. I would not recommend this horrible place to anyone. For 150/night i think a clean safe place is not too much to ask for.
