Any Sudanis who grew up speaking Chadian Arabic?

[edit]

I just need to yap a little; When my parent were in their teens in the 1960's-70's they moved to Chad because of my fathers military job. Both of their families were in Sudan, fast forward a decade or two and my parents are moving to the U.S. because of their political expulsion. My mom spent most of her formative years in Chad; had most of her kids there; move to the U.S.A and had me. She would always enjoy speaking Chadian Arabic because she liked speaking French but I feel regret because I not only can't speak good French with my Family in Chad….I ABSOLUTELY can't speak Sudani Arabic with my aunts and cousins. My cousin recently came from east-central Sudan and she CANNOT understand me bro 😭. It's so embarrassing. I wish I could actually talk to her, I can barely write in Arabic too and my spelling are always bogus because I never memorized the correct spellings. Anyways that's it. مريم يدرص (talk) 13:21, 29 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
