I went this season to the valle cochamo in february. its truly a dream and hope it stays that way. the refugio is small and cozy and the care taker Daniel is very friendly. have fun and dont miss it if your going to chile or south to patagonia.

Cochamo Valley is my favorite place in Chile

I have been to many places in the world and this one tops my list. It's a natural wonder, a bit of muddy hike to get in but well worth it. The natural water slide, granite walls and the arch over the river were some of my favorites. Don't let the German couple at Camp Aventura lead you to believe that the trail is too treatuous and that the place floods every time it rains. Nice people but a little over exaggerated. Keep and merge the 2 articles. This question should probably be discussed on the article talk pages using merge tags, rather than here, as a VFD. merge Cochamó and Cochamó Valley?

These should not be merged. Cochamó is the village from where guides take tourists to Cochamó Valley, 5-6 hours away by horse, as mentioned in the existing description.
