Help it grow

[edit]

Hi everyone, I noticed South America is really short on itineraries, so I made it partially for personal planning, partially for promoting independent travel in the continent.

This article is meant as a overland guide from Cartagena/Bogotá to Torres del Paine/Punta Arenas/or even Ushuaia. Most of the route will be following western side of the Andes with the possible exception of the Ruta 40 on the Argentinean side vs the ferry from Puerto Montt. The trip would not be complete without Machu Picchu and Salar de Uyuni. This article also intends to present a form of overland that balances cost with comfort. Most of the long distance bus traveling done in semi-cama, ejecutivo, and cama-suite.

I will be gradually adding content over time. Please pitch in and help it grow. —The preceding comment was added by Tigerleapgorge (talkcontribs)

South America and Africa are, sadly, short on everything compared to North America, Europe, Southeast Asia, Japan and Australia. This is because we don't have many editors from there and they are comparatively less traveled regions of the world.
This itinerary sounds cool and I might join in at some point, however I can only contribute second hand information. ϒpsilon (talk) 19:42, 5 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
