Doors of Mainstrasse Family Festival[edit]
The entry below is a complete mess, and the website it links to is not much help either. It looks like the festival was just a one year thing, as I see no evidence of it occurring in 2010. Can anyone who has knowledge of this let me know if it should be included in the main page anymore, or if it should be deleted? (WT-en) Neilworms 10:53, 16 October 2010 (EDT)

NEW MAINSTRASSE EVENT IS A FANTASIA FOR ALL AGES
Mainstrasse Village in collaboration with Full Spectrum Arts of City of Covington announces a new event focusing on the arts, creativity, and imagination. Family Festival Saturday, October 3, 2009 12 Noon – (Closing time) West Sixth and Main Street area
The 2009 event calendar for Mainstrasse Village has a new, whimsical addition. The First Annual Family Festival is an all-ages event with low- and no-cost activities and entertainment to charm children as well as the young-at-heart.
The festival celebrates a community art project that has captivated the imagination of Covington artists and residents this summer. “The Doors of Mainstrasse Village” have appeared almost magically around town – tiny, delightful doors that are home to elves, fairies, and the other sprites of imagination. The project became so popular that it has earned the corporate sponsorship of local business AE Window and Door Company.
The Festival hopes to attract families to visit the Village, hunt for the decorated doors, explore local merchants, enjoy free entertainment, and browse the art and craft booths.
Entertainment will include: Pickled Brothers Juggling, Sword Swallower Comedian Team Brian Gill and His Cool Critters Dream Weavers Celtic Story Teller Tallulah and her Dance Troupe Mayan Ruins Musical Band Pharaoh’s Drumming Circle of Cincinnati Greg Harper on his Famous Penny Whistle
Evening events are planned featuring the Fantasy Parade at 5:30 p.m. with unicycles, clowns, and stilt walkers, followed by the Razzamatazz Gala at Leapin Lizard, 8th & Main Streets. The Gala includes a benefit auction for the Baker Hunt Arts Center Scholarship Program.
