Talk:Flores (Guatemala)
Add topicThis article has Star potential. It's well written with great information. However, for Star status it needs both to be entirely complete and to exactly match the manual of style. If you see how it can be improved, please plunge forward or point it out on the talk page. |

FloresTikal.com
[edit]Hi there! Thanks for adding your guesthouse, it looks nice! Just a note on the website, the way we format the listings is to put the website only in the "url" category, not again in the description. what happens is that the website will show up like this → . Take a look at the article again and you'll see that all of the websites are shown like that. Thanks again! – (WT-en) cacahuate talk 14:48, 25 May 2007 (EDT)
- Oops, here we are again. I had to remove the image you added, we don't allow images that have advertising in them. We welcome conributions from business owners, but please don't overdo it. You're welcome to add your guesthouse (which you already did) and to help us expand the Flores guide if you have more information, but aside from the listing that we now have for FloresTikal, it is not possible to mention it again anywhere else on the page, including in pictures. Sorry! You may want to check out Project:Welcome, business owners for some information on our policy concerning that. Thanks again for your contributions! – (WT-en) cacahuate talk 04:26, 26 May 2007 (EDT)
Santa Elena & San Benito
[edit]I've redirected those 2 articles to here for now, all 3 are often collectively called "Flores", and there's little of interest in those 2 for travelers, mostly just hopped in to if a bank or airport run is needed – (WT-en) cacahuate talk 19:19, 1 January 2009 (EST)
- I made a new map of Flores island, but it would be great if a larger area map was created that covered Santa Elena and San Benito as well. I don't have a huge interest in it myself and don't have a good source for the streets, but if someone comes across one, have at it – (WT-en) cacahuate talk 15:07, 17 May 2009 (EDT)
Ruins articles
[edit]We have a couple articles for ruins in this area, like El Mirador, and someone just created another for Yaxhá. Do we want the ruins to all have their own separate articles? Or should we move them into the "See" section of this article, intended to be visited along with the city? --(WT-en) Peter Talk 17:43, 16 September 2009 (EDT)
