Guerrero Negro is a city in Baja California, Mexico.

(See Template Page for help filling in below]

We went here last yearin January and it was spectacular. We flew to San Diego and then rented a car. Only Avis would allow the car to go that far south into Baja. Stopped at wal=mart and bought lots of water and some munchies and a big empty gas can. We weren't sure about gas in Mexico--but we turned out not to need it. First day we drove to Rosarito beach and stayed overnight. Left early the next AM and drove all day. You would not want to do this at night. Several checkpoints with military guys with big guns. Really had no problems. Got to G.N. just before dark.

Eat

[edit]

Malarrimos was a surprizing find. The food was great, service was quite good and overall it was a highlight of the trip

Sleep

[edit]

Stayed at La Pinta hotel. Basic, but clean. Army base next door provided the "alarm clock" in the AM. Met some people who stayed at Malarrimo's and it looked OK. Realize that all accomodations are very basic.
