Spelling[edit]

I have tried to help with spellings, but there are two words I can not "translate" as I am not sure what the meaning is:

It is one of the best examples of Socrealist Architecture in Europe. It was not until the 1970s when the first church was built there and sacrified by Karol Wojtyla, later Pope John Paul II, as Nowa Huta became the first atheist district in Poland.

Maybe the writer could describe these in an alternate way here. (WT-en) OldPine 10:18, 10 June 2007 (EDT)

"Socrealism" is shorthand for "Socialist Realism", a philosophical/artistic movement associated with socialism; its artspeak. "Sacrified" sounds like an attempt at "sanctified", but using the wrong latin root. - (WT-en) Todd VerBeek 11:30, 10 June 2007 (EDT)
