Talk:New Orleans/Lakeview and Lakeshore

Question? Could someone share with me a time frame of the lakefront re-opening to the citizens, or has it become a private lake,no more picnics, bbq's, games, kite flying,family gatherings, riding or driving the complete lake from one end to the other. As a New Orleanian and tax payer, I missed the lakefront I grew up with. Please Help me understand Why only a small area of the west end is open? It really is an asset to New Orleans, to be enjoyed by all.
