Among Taiwanese, Puli is famous for its four 'W's - water, wine, women and weather. Is this actually true? I mean, those are English words in Latin script. I'd think there'd more likely be a Four-character idiom or something. Is this really a traditional or well-known saying about Puli? --(WT-en) Evan 12:51, 21 April 2006 (EDT)

Yes, it is true. Puli was famous for these four characteristics, and I image that the English four W idea arose from some alert PR agent. Now it is recognized as one of the the town's trade marks. Among others, you can find reference to these four 'W's on the following sites: , , (WT-en) WindHorse 22 April 06
