Hmm, there's a lot of good information here, but I dont think "Quebec Region" is the right name for this article and I'm wondering about the copyright of the information. This needs to be integrated into a real destination page (Northern Quebec? split out the cities or something else?) or made into a clear travel topic. Suggestions? - Well, this comes directly from [www.sepaq.com/En/index.cfm?Reseau=PQ& Module=&Etablissement=GRJ&Page=BIEN]. I am going to remove it unless the author can OK the copyright (ie that they are the author and are happy to distribute it under Creative Commons...). We can roll it back if I'm wrong or something (WT-en) Majnoona 12:12, 2 Nov 2004 (EST)
- OK, I removed content and added vfd, but now I'm not sure. Is "Quebec Region" a destination? If so how is it different from Quebec City and/or Quebec Province? Is it the region around Quebec City? Maybe I'll just leave the page blank and nix the vfd... (WT-en) Majnoona 12:18, 2 Nov 2004 (EST)
- Why did you remove the vfd? I think you were right, and the source says "© 2004 La Sépaq, all rights reserved." so it sure looks like a copyvio to me. Maybe I'm missing something? -- (WT-en) Colin 13:35, 2 Nov 2004 (EST)
- Previous discussion on vfd has concluded that it's better to just remove copyright content from pages rather than the articles themselves, if they are a genuine destination. So the real question is whether there is a Quebec Region separate from Quebec province and Quebec City. -- (WT-en) Hypatia 14:04, 2 Nov 2004 (EST)
- It's not just discussion -- it's our deletion policy. --(WT-en) Evan 15:02, 2 Nov 2004 (EST)

- There is a Région de Québec that's one of the "official" tourist regions of Quebec -- see http://www.bonjourquebec.com/anglais/regions/region_quebec.html for details. This is distinct from Quebec and Quebec City, and there's a lot there. Maybe Greater Quebec Area (the name that the office of tourism uses) might be a better translation? --(WT-en) Evan 15:02, 2 Nov 2004 (EST)
- Just as said above, Quebec region is one of the offical administrative division within the province, it is basically the area surrounding and including Quebec city (and sometimes including Charlevoix in some political matter, but not tourism). Its alternative name is also Capitale-Nationale although this term carries a political burden. I will also correct the 'regions' included within that administrative area since those appearing on the wiki are currently inaccurate. (WT-en) Maplefanta 11:59, 15 December 2007 (EST)
