If in the Santa Fe province, be sure to visit the small town of Arequito, and seek out the local avant garde artist Alberto Cesaro. Anyone in town can show you how to find him. His entire home, including his maze of a yard, is a museum of his sculptures made of refuse. His art comments on a lot of social issues, mainly poverty and the native people of Argentina. He loves visitors, and has a guest book in the chapel placed behind his home. The "Paseo del Arte," or path of arts as he calls his home, is open and free to the public. Alberto may come off as a little eccentric, but is warm and welcoming and gives an experience to never be forgotten. I swear, this guy is an undiscovered genius.
