Other[edit]

Mishima-ike is not in Sekigahara. http://photoguide.jp/pix/thumbnails.php?album=122

So where is it? (WT-en) Jpatokal 10:42, 20 August 2006 (EDT)
Shiga, to the west. Could be good for a "go next" entry. -Douglaspperkins (talk) 09:55, 6 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Editing to Make this a Guide-status Page[edit]

I've been working on filling this article out since I was there on 15 March 2023. I think it is a really cool place that anyone interested in military history or Japanese history should visit, but when I started this article was pretty empty. I would love to see this article filled out to a Usable or better (ideally Guide) status article, since I think it is a hidden gem that's an easy day-trip from Kyoto or Nagoya, but since it's not in LonelyPlanet or Moon, it's overlooked. I've added as much information as I can (I was only there for a day trip so I don't have any experience on lodging or drinking - I did a quick Google search for bars and hotels in the town when I filled out the Sleep and Drink sections just so they'd have some information). I also don't have the technical skills to make it look nice and neat with numbered maps and coordinates. Can other people contribute as well? This town could easily be a contender for an Off the Beaten Path feature if it were of Guide or Star status, given its importance in Japanese history and the large tourism market in Japan. I have been to Sekigahara a few times, so I can try to help. For editing purposes and adding coordinates, it helps if you add places as listings. I will try to convert the current information into proper listings. ChubbyWimbus (talk) 11:46, 4 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I went and turned them into listings, but I don't have the skills to add coordinates or make an interactive map (I'm not a tech-y person). Tuyuhun (talk) 18:38, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
