I've removed the following comment, which Sinaloan locals will find offensive.

Appalling the number of Canadians who ignore the government's travel advisory and all the violence and figure if they go down in some sort of caravan through Sinaloa, etc., they will be safe. This is not just a lapse of judgment, it's totally selfish and irresponsible behaviour. It causes unnecessary anxiety on the part of friends and family members. And the outrageous part of it is that they think the Canadian government is going to use our tax money to somehow rescue them when things go bad. Shameful.
