Southeast vs. Southeastern[edit]

The region is almost always referred to as Southeastern Massachusetts, rather than Southeast. Examples of official usage include the Southeastern Mass. Visitors Bureau, Southeastern MA Bioreserve, and Southeastern Massachusetts University (name of now UMass Dartmouth prior to 1991). Is there a reason for this usage here, and could it be changed? Even the article body here calls it Southeastern. —The preceding comment was added by Kapusta52 (talkcontribs)
