Why does this page directs users to see Roswell for Artesia? Since they're 40 minutes away from each other, I can't believe that travelers see them as one destination, such as Bloomington-Normal. Any other reasoning? -- (WT-en) Fastestdogever 11:09, 2 May 2007 (EDT)
- Simply put, there's not much to Artesia but a couple of eateries and motels, an incredibly vile-smelling stockyard, and an even worse-smelling oil refinery. A garden spot it isn't. It wouldn't be inappropriate to have an Artesia article, but until a need for one is identified, adding an article would be gilding the lily (although "lily" isn't a term I'd use for Roswell either...). We actually could do with a different article type for "rural areas," in which Artesia information might sensibly fit; there has been discussion of the possibility but nothing has ever been done on it. -- (WT-en) Bill-on-the-Hill 11:47, 2 May 2007 (EDT)
