Is Trentino-Alto Adige called Alto Adige, Trentino, both or is this a different place? I am confused as the current introduction makes me want to move this article to Alto Adige but I do not know if this would be correct or the most common name. Trentino-Alto Adige is the umbrella term for the autonomous region consisting of the two provinces 1. Alto Adige (capital Bolzano) and 2. Trentino (capital Trento)
South Tyrol & Trentino are different[edit]
Hi! South Tyrol (Alto Adige/Südtirol) and Trentino are two different regions in an administrative regional entity of Italy. Touristically they are different things. I'd propose to edit two different pages: one for South Tyrol and one for Trentino. The information in this page are all about South Tyrol's (history, talk, see and the first three links) and only the two towns of Trentino are things of this region. !!! Please DON'T confuse "Alto Adige" and "South Tyrol"[edit]
Trentino and Alto Adige are the 2 different provinces.
South Tyrol (Sudtirol) is the "german" name of Alto Adige.
