Talk:Wars of the Roses
Wars of the Roses -[edit]
I have started the Wars of the Roses page, trying to make it geographical, chronological and simple to follow the (hi)story.
I hope with your help to improve:
- Understand
this needs better prose than mine.
- Prepare
with Royal lines of England + simple genealogical chart(s) of only the main Kings/Houses.
To understand the age: royal houses, lords, living, chivalry, politics
- Get in
To provide more geographical context any Royal Route Marches and campaign trails would be good here.
- Battlefields
With simple comments to promote the (hi)story, History buffs can click on and read the Wikipedia pages.
Possibly add Shakespeare quotes.
More castles and cities [not Lancaster as I believe only the name not the city is relevant] with brief comments to their relevance in these wars wold be good too.
You will also note that I have banished the superfluous * from {in front of) listings to give a cleaner look and to encourage readers to click on them for a close up map [I think we need an article on this great but not obvious feature of the brilliant Mapframe widget].
- Stay safe
From a historical 1400s perceptive:Weapons, deaths of challengers and how they could avoid them. i.e. Leaving Princes in the tower Richard III horseless. Hints on avoiding arrows, etc,
