Xinjiang, on its own, is about 10 times more common compared to Xinjiang-Uighur, according to a google search. Even the article uses Xinjiang on its own. -- (WT-en) Huttite 08:11, 15 Jun 2005 (EDT)
Chinese or Uighur names?
[edit]A few well-known places like Kashgar and Ürümqi should obviously use the Uighur name, but what about eg. Kuche/Kuqa or Hami/Kumul? (WT-en) Jpatokal 02:29, 21 August 2009 (EDT)
Subregions
