I changed this page from being a redirect to Yucatan Peninsula to being the main page for the state. The unaccented version is used in English for the state, and I'm pretty sure that it's the better name here. --(WT-en) Evan 11:38, 10 Dec 2005 (EST)
State vs. Peninsula[edit]
Is any of the material on this page applicable to the entire Yucatan Peninsula, rather than just the state of Yucatan? If so, that article would be a better place for it. -(WT-en) Todd VerBeek 11:17, 18 May 2007 (EDT)
Yes, a lot of it would be applicable to The Peninsula. However, the Peninsula is a much bigger place, (3 States) Yucatán, Campeche, and Quintana Roo. Plus the Yucatan Peninsula article is so well written, I did not want to disturb much. (WT-en) 2old 12:26, 18 May 2007 (EDT)
