Talk:Zaanstreek

Don't merge Zaanstreek and Zaanstad into Zaanse Schans because they will not fit in:

• The Zaanstreek contains one city, Zaandam, and several towns/villages along the river the Zaan north of Amsterdam. Many of them bare the name of the river Zaan in them, like "Koog aan de Zaan",

• The Zaanse Schans is a location in the Zaanstreek, that is an aria, about the size of an city block, where some old but beautiful buildings like windmills were put together when whey where standing in "the way of progress" in the past century. I'm not sure one can sleep at Zaanse Schans, because it isn't an attraction park. One can't bay one ticket for all, if I am not mistaken.

If kept apart, the trail can be Netherlands : North-Holland : Zaansteek : Zaandam : Zaanse Schans, --(WT-en) Rein N. 08:41, 1 June 2009 (EDT)
