This is a documentation subpage for Template:Forecast/US. It contains usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page. |
This template, when used, will provide a link to a National Weather Service website that provides an up-to-date weather forecast for the specified locale. This feature is only available for U.S. locales so do not attempt to use it in a guide about Tokyo, Moscow, or other non-US destinations.
Usage
[edit]To use this template type the following:
{{Forecast/US|Place name|Latitude|Longitude}}
When typing in the latitude and longitude values, be sure to use the decimal form only. As an example, for Seattle type:
{{Forecast/US|Seattle|47.3622|-122.1955}}
...which yields the following right-aligned notice:
Note
[edit]{{ForecastNOAA}} is the same as Template:Forecast but is for inline use without float right box and has no weather icon.
