Template talk:Web
This template is designed for including content that should be shown online, but not in printed guides.
Example:
{{web|See [[Malaysia#Get in]] for visa details.}}
Shows up as ordinary text:
{{web|See [[Malaysia#Get in]] for visa details.}}
Tables[edit]
Is there any way this template could be used to make a wiki table web-only? I wasn't able to get it to work, and I'd like to hold on to a table or two in the online version of the Chicago guide. --(WT-en) Peter Talk 21:37, 30 November 2007 (EST)
Equals signs[edit]
If the text you wish to display only online contains an equals sign, as in some URLs, you must use the syntax as follows:
{{web|1=You can find further information at their web site [http://notalink.com?referrer=wikivoyage]}}
The "1=" tells the template that everything after it is the first parameter; otherwise it thinks everything before the equals sign is the name of the parameter.
