Country Park

A country park (郊野公園) is a park which is means any area that is designated as a country park according to Country Parks Ordinance under section 14.

Route

You can choose whether to be on land or on islands.

There are many country parks in Hong Kong, and New Territories have the most.

Prepare

Prepare water, communicating tools, map, food and others you probably need in rural areas. Hong Kong has around 700 hundred population, but this doesn't mean a huge number of people will be seen in the trip.

By rail and planes

There is no rails and planes which can directly take a tourist to those places.

By buses

Taking a bus is the most common way to go into a country park.

By ship

Many of them are on islands. To enter those you have to take a ship. Popular islands usually provide public marine transportations.

You can drive to the carparks if there is.

Getting around

You can just walk in a country park if you do not have permission by AFCD, Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department; without it you cannot drive.

Wild fire is the common problem you will meet. Look at the sign to avoid being in danger.

If your phone is out of connection, you should go finding an emergency telephone.

This sign tells you the fire danger of a country park of the day. If you see the sign shows EXTREME, you should think if you have to commit a new plan.
