Tutóia is a town in Maranhão, mainly only a stopover between Lençóis Maranhenses and Parnaíba.

Get in

• Several daily buses to Parnaíba, last one leaving at 2:45PM, 3 hours R$14.
• One daily to São Luís.
• 4x4 pick up trucks for Paulino Neves, R$8, 1.5 hours. These leave at varying hours, mostly corresponding with buses from Parnaíba, but the only one that seems to be guaranteed leaves at 10AM.
• There used to be a regular boat to Parnaíba, but no more. You can rent a motor launch for R$400, taking up to 4 people.

There is a beach of sorts within walking distance.
