Appearance
Tzaneen is a large town situated in the Letaba district of the Limpopo Province, South Africa. It is in a fertile region with tropical and subtropical agriculture taking place in a 20,000 km² region. About 650 000 people residing within a 30-km radius.
There are different theories to were the name comes from and range from the Sotho words tsaneng (gathering place) to tsana (basket of hills).

Climate
[edit]Mostly sunshine, long summer days with pleasant winters. Tzaneen's subtropical conditions provides more suited weather for dense forests (high summer rainfall) than the thorny bushveld above the escarpment.
Summer months; September - March have an average temperature of 28°C and winter months around 15°C.
