" The Outer Banks" found in the state of North Carolina located in the Untied States. On The Outer Banks there are several cities one can visit: Corolla, Sanderling, Duck, Southern Shores, Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills, Nags Head, Whalebone, Rodanthe, Waves, Salvo, Avon, Buxton, Frisco, Hatteras, and Ocracoke. The Outer Banks itself are surrounded by the Pamlico and Albemarle Sounds and the Atlantic Ocean. If visiting The Outer Banks, a great place to stay is Corolla, which is the city at the tip of the island. Corolla has many things to offer to ensure a family fun vacation. The first place I would visit is the Clubhouse, located on Atlantic Ocean in Corolla. Not only is it a restaurant and arcade, The Clubhouse has many fun outdoor activities. The Clubhouse offers several basketball courts, a sand volleyball court, shuffleboard, a playground, and two outdoor swimming pools for the summertime. It is also a great way to meet other visitors of the island. Just up the street from the Clubhouse, are the Corolla Shops. The Shops include different kinds of clothing stores, cafes, and a video rental. The well-known Corolla Surf Shop is also located here. This is a great place to get a souvenir from your vacation of The Outer Banks, and the Corolla Surf Shop offers surf lessons. And if these shops don't fulfill your shopping habits, then just down the main drag, there is a much larger shopping center called Tim Buc II, which offers great places to eat and shop. In addition, just across the street from the Corolla Shops is the Currituck Beach Lighthouse. By climbing the lighthouse, you will be delighted by the spectacular view it has to offer of The Outer Banks from Sound to Ocean. The Sounds that separate the islands from the Ocean are the best place to go fishing, crabbing, and kayaking. It also offers one hell of a sunset! To get around The Outer Banks, I would suggest having a car to get from place to place because the grocery and shopping centers are a distance from each other and most of the resorts. However in the summertime, to get from the beach or The Clubhouse, Corolla offers a trolley service which can pick you up from where your staying and take you to these certain destinations. Staying in The Outer Banks if made easy with the different hotel and realities on the islands. Built in 2003, The Hampton Inn located in Corolla is the best place to stay if your in the mood for hotel, if not, Twiddy and Sun Realty can help you pick a house to rent for your vacation. The houses that are offered by these realities are pretty big and can hold up to two families in one house. Almost all of the houses have a hot tub and a pool, and can be found either on sound-side or oceanside. If you do decided to rent one of the many houses in Corolla, then you will receive a free membership to the Corolla Recreation Center for the time you will be staying in the house. The Recreation Center has indoor/outdoor clay tennis courts, indoor pool, state of the art gym, walleyball courts, and racketball courts.
