Sun City and Surprise, AZ are developing towns in the northern part of the West Valley of Phoenix, AZ. Sun City is an active senior retirement community which caters to the interests of senior citizens and their families. MOVIE NIGHT AT SURPRISE STADIUM - Sep. 20 The City of Surprise Community and Recreation Services Department will be hosting a Movie Night at the Surprise Stadium on Saturday, September 20. This FREE event will feature the G Rated movie, "Horton Hears a Who" starring Steve Carell and Jim Carrey. The movie will start at 6:30pm with gates opening at 6pm. Surprise Residents of all ages are invited to bring blankets, stretch out on the Stadium grass and enjoy the movie! Concessions will be available for purchase. The stadium food and beverage policy is in effect, ice chests and lawn chairs are not permitted. The Surprise Stadium is located at the Surprise Recreation Campus; 15850 N. ARIZONA FALL LEAGUE Rafters open at Surprise Stadium against the Peoria Javelinas for Oct. 2008. The Surprise Rafters consist of players from the Kansas City Royals, Texas Rangers, Baltimore Orioles, Cleveland Indians, and Los Angeles Dodgers. The Arizona Fall League has earned its reputation as a steppingstone for future MLB standouts. Each club provides six players who make up a maximum 36-man roster.
