MOVIE NIGHT AT SURPRISE STADIUM - Sep. 20 The City of Surprise Community and Recreation Services Department will be hosting a Movie Night at the Surprise Stadium on Saturday, September 20. This FREE event will feature the G Rated movie, "Horton Hears a Who" starring Steve Carell and Jim Carrey. The movie will start at 6:30pm with gates opening at 6pm. Surprise Residents of all ages are invited to bring blankets, stretch out on the Stadium grass and enjoy the movie! Concessions will be available for purchase. ARIZONA FALL LEAGUE Rafters open at Surprise Stadium against the Peoria Javelinas for Oct. 2008. The Surprise Rafters consist of players from the Kansas City Royals, Texas Rangers, Baltimore Orioles, Cleveland Indians, and Los Angeles Dodgers. The Arizona Fall League has earned its reputation as a steppingstone for future MLB standouts. Each club provides six players who make up a maximum 36-man roster.
