The Great Florida Birding Trail is a collection of 489 birdwatching sites, spanning about 2,000 miles in the State of Florida.

Understand

The Great Florida Birding Trail is a program of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, with support from the Florida Department of Transportation and the Wildlife Foundation of Florida. The goal of the Trail is to promote birdwatching and bird education in Florida's natural parks and preserves.

The Trail is divided into four main sections: East Florida, Florida Panhandle, West Florida, and South Florida.

East Florida Section

The East Florida Section of the Birding Trail opened in November 2000 and consists of 135 sites in 18 counties.
