I am origonally from Northern Virginia, right outside of Washington DC. At 29 years old I realized that I did not want to wait until normal retirement to see the world, which was always a dream of mine. So I bought a modest yacht and am spending the next 5 to 7 years traveling. In the last year I have traveled 90% of the US east coast, the Bahamas, Turks & Caicos, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, US and British Virgin Islands and down through the entire Eastern Caribbean chain, stopping at nearly every nation enroute. I am currently sitting out hurricane season in Grenada awaiting to travel north again through the Caribbean from November to May. Come May '07 I will depart Antigua bound for the Azores and finally the Medateranian to spend 2 years taveling Europe with particular focus on Eastern European nations. As I tend to spend at least 3 to 4 weeks in each nation I visit I hope to be able to contribute to TravelWiki.
