Currently it is possible to go from London to Tokyo via Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, China, then through Shanghai to Tokyo ferry to the destination.
It is expected that in year 2024, scheduled surface transport between Yaeyama and Honshu might become possible through start of Yonaguni ferry to Hualian and resumption of ferry from Taiwan to China Mainland.
