The Tremiti Islands are an archipelago located 12 miles off the Gargano promontory.

The "pearls of the Adriatic Sea", as the Tremiti Islands have been renamed are the perfect location for a relaxing holiday and for those who love living near the sea, it is considered an authentic paradise thanks to its seabed, caves and unspoiled landscape.
Territory and touristic destinations[edit]
The enchanting archipelago of the region is composed of:
- San Domino, the most populated and touristy;
- San Nicola, the historical heart of the Tremiti Islands dominated by the towers of San Nicola and the Abbey of Santa Maria a Mare, with a mosaic floor and imposing walls;
- Capraia, uninhabited and wild, a paradise for passionate divers, with breathtaking dives in Punta Secca and Cala dei Turchi;
