The Sainte-Famille Church, this Catholic cultural place, was built between 1801 and 1802. Made almost entirely of stone, it demonstrates the unique style of construction of the buildings that were used before.   • 14 Chambly Canal, +1 450-658-4381. The city of Chambly is at the north end of the Chambly Canal, a national historic site. Built to bypass the rapids of the Richelieu River and facilitate trade between Canada and the United States, commercial traffic dwindled after World War I and the canal now sees more traffic from recreational boats.   • 9 Îles-de-Contrecoeur National Reserve (Réserve nationale des Îles-de-Contrecoeur), Contrecoeur (opposite the main village and separated by the South Channel), toll-free: +1-800-668-6767. This wildlife reserve, created in 1981, has an area of 3.12 kilometres (1.94 mi). Its mission is to protect emergent and submerged grass beds, as well as waterfowl nesting sites. This wildlife reserve is adjacent to the Saint-Ours Island Bird Sanctuary. It straddles several islands: Île aux Rats, Île à McNicoll, Île Devant l'Eglise, Île Chipeau, Grande Île, Île Ronde, Île aux Boeufs and Île de la Little Colony.
  • Hiking trails and cross-country ski trails. The walking trails are accessible at 1500 rue des Saules; 6773 rue des Peonies; 10350 route Marie-Victorin and 4650 rue des Ormes. There is also the multi-use trail at Antoine-Pécaudy Park, at 1141, rue des Chênes.

The town's architecture is quite distinct from most towns in the greater Montreal area. Some buildings date back to the beginning of the 1900s, while the new buildings have tried to copy some of the older building's features.

Most people who come to Hudson take a drive down Main Road to see the old houses, foliage and lakeviews. This is popular in the summer but perhaps best done in October, when the leaves turn fall colours.

It features a variety of travelling theatre companies as well as local productions. Occasionally, dedicated trains from Montreal take ticket holders directly to the theater for a performance.

The Greenwood Living History Center preserves the legacy of Phoebe Nobbs Hyde, the last occupant of this multi-faceted house. Greenwood's complex history is told through numerous historical documents, paintings and ancient artifacts. Original museum visitors can visit this magnificent property and bucolic gardens. Various events are organized during the summer. This centre is administered by a non-profit organization.

  • 22 Roussillon Archaeology Museum (Musée archéologie de Roussillon), 214, rue Saint-Ignace. In 2022, the museum presents an Archaeology and Criminal Investigations exhibition. This exhibition informs visitors about the exciting work of bioarchaeologists in the investigation of ancient crimes. In addition, the museum presents a permanent exhibition through 5000 years of history of the region. The museum regularly presents various other thematic exhibitions.

Park along the South Shore Canal of the St. Lawrence Seaway. This park is connected to the riverside bike path and includes a small peninsula. In the summer season, this park is very popular with water sports enthusiasts.

Created in 1992, this 960,000 square meter nature park includes the Lac de la Cité (1.1 km long; artificial lake divided into three areas), the artificial hill, areas of peat bogs, wooded areas and the plain grassed.   • 36 Mont-Rigaud. This mountain is not particularly high, but covered in mixed forest, which means that the autumn leaves turn every colour in October. Bring bug repellant if you are going hiking in the forest, as there are mosquitoes and blackflies, especially in the spring and autumn.
  • 37 St. Madeleine Church in Rigaud (Église Sainte-Madeleine de Rigaud), 4, rue Saint-Jean-Baptiste Est (opposite the Rigaud River, in the heart of the village of Rigaud), +1 450-451-5751. Catholic Church. Its old architecture with double bell tower with exterior stone walls has great heritage value. This church, which has more than 200 years of history, is endowed with numerous works of art, many statues, an impressive organ and two well-crafted bell towers.
  • 38 Sanctuaire de Lourdes, 43 Rue de Lourdes, +1 450 451-4631. Catholics might light a candle at this outdoor, hundred-year-old shrine to Our Lady of Lourdes built into the mountain, which operates only in the summer. Non-Catholics might enjoy the "potato fields", a strange natural clearing of thousands of small boulders in an otherwise wooded area close to the shrine. The local legend of its origin are that a potato crop was turned to stone beause the farmer worked on Sundays. The old chapel near the summit of the mountain provides a great view of the Ottawa River valley.
  • 39 Charlebois House (Maison Charlebois), 43 Rue de Lourdes (near the Clercs de St-Viateur cemetery). This two-storey wooden building was erected in 1840 and enlarged in 1905. The covered gallery surrounds the residence on three sides. This building is associated with several generations of Charlebois who lived there. This property is a heritage building.
Former Rigaud station, built in 1940
  • 40 Former Rigaud station (Ancienne gare de Rigaud), 15, rue Charlebois. This former Canadian Pacific station has served travellers since 1891, for intercity travel. Then, it was used for commuter trains on the Montreal/Dorion-Rigaud line in 1898 and 2010. The first station existed from 1891 to 1940; the current building was built in 1940. This station was very popular with pilgrims visiting the Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes sanctuary or students attending Bourget college. This building, now owned by the city of Rigaud, has been designated a "heritage railway station" since 1994. This railway line has become a pedestrian and bicycle path linking Rigaud to Vankleek Hill (in Ontario).

This canal connects Lake Champlain (USA) to the Chambly Basin. Its construction began in 1831; it was opened in 1843. It is a National Historic Site of Canada. The free height is 8.84 m. Lighthouse established on May 1, 1902 to serve as marker lights for navigators of a new dredged shipping channel between Bouchard Island and the south shore of the St. Lawrence River, Verchères. This lighthouse was strategically erected to complete the Contreceour-Verchères range lights. This line of navigation lights includes a front light (tower raised 14 m (44 feet) above the summer water level of the river) and a rear light at the village of Verchères (tower 20 m) which is visible up to 25 km (15 m) away. In 1929 the front tower was rebuilt as a skeleton tower topped with an enclosed lantern.

The first chapel was built in 1710 on the initiative of the Seigneuress of Verchères, Marie Perrot. In 1724, a church was erected. It was replaced in 1787. A fire damaged the church on November 1, 1818. The current interior of the church was shaped during finishing works carried out in 1961.
