Guaraní (avañeʼẽ), is an official language in Paraguay, Bolivia, Argentina's Corriente Province, Brazil's Mato Grosso do Sul state, and Mercosur, a South American trade bloc. It is spoken by the Guarani, an indigenous people group in South America. As of 1995, it has 4.85 million speakers, and is one of the most widely spoken languages in the Americas.
