Vancouver International Airport (YVR ^IATA) is the main international airport of Vancouver, British Columbia and the second busiest in Canada.

Understand

The airport is pretty close to the city, being located on the nearby Sea Island. It is second busiesnt airport in Canada, with only Toronto-Pearson surpassing Vancouver in aircraft and passenger movements.

Flights

Due to the substantial community of diaspora and being the closest major North American airport, many East Asian carriers fly here. It is also a hub for largest Canadian airlines Air Canada and WestJet. In general, the airport has service to and from many major airports across the world, as well as many regional destinations due to the high concentration of small propeller and sea planes at the South Terminal.

Main Terminal

The centre of airport activity, as this is where all of the jet flights depart.

Airport South

A hub for flights to more remote areas, with many prop-jobs and seaplanes.

Ground transportation

By rail

The  Canada  line of the SkyTrain links the airport to the city with a branch line.
