The Mauiva AirCruise is a new concept in travel. It is a multi-destination tour operator that utilizes the Embraer EMB Brasilia 120, a private plane, to travel the east and west coast of the U.S.

The word Mauiva is a Polynesian term that comes from a story about a demigod who was fishing in the Pacific Ocean and pulled out the Hawaiian Islands, essentially creating something from nothing.

News Coverage[edit]

Fox News reports, “Mauiva takes guests on a six-day journey through foliage rich destinations across the eastern half of North America. The private plane stops at multiple locations including Niagara Falls, N.Y.; Toronto and Ontario, Canada; Washington, D.C.; Mount Vernon, Va.; Hershey, Lancaster and Harrisburg, Pa.”

On the west coast, the Mauiva AirCruise travels to California and stops in Monterey, San Francisco, Sonoma, Yosemite as well as Bryce Canyon, UT, Las Vegas, NV, and the Grand Canyon.

According to the LA Times, “The trip is good for those, especially families, who want an East Coast sampler with lots to do each day.”

The Mauiva AirCruise also offers a Fly, Stay & Drive that skips the pre-planned attractions to tour the sights in a pre-booked rental car.

Awards[edit]

Mauiva is also the recent recipient of the Silver Magellan Award from Travel Weekly in the Overall Tour Operators category, according to Yahoo
