THE FOLLOWING IS A TEST
Wattle Park is a large recreational park in Melbourne, Australia famous for having over 12,000 Wattle Trees.
Understand
[edit]History
[edit]+The park originated when the Hawthorn Tramway Trust (HTT) bought land from Eliza Welch under the condition that it would become a public park. Formerly the residence of Cr. Orlando Fenwick, it was known as Fenwick's Paddock before Mrs. Welch purchased it. The park opened in 1917 with the planting of a Golden Wattle by Sir Arthur Stanley. Development was delayed due to the HTT's financial troubles and subsequent tramway electrification work. In the 1920s and 30s, the park was enhanced with wattle tree plantations, pathways, a stream, preserved forests, and the construction of the Wattle Park Chalet. Children's playgrounds, sports facilities, and a picturesque lake were also added.
